Lifeguards at The OKCGCC are to provide a safe environment for our members and guests while they spend time in our aquatic area.
Lifeguard Job Responsibilities:
- Supervises swimming activities at OKCGCC and ensures that policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed.
- Warns swimmers of improper activities or danger and enforces pool regulations and water safety policies.
- Administers first aid in the event of injury, rescues swimmers in distress or danger of drowning, and administers CPR and/or artificial respiration, if necessary.
- Evaluates conditions for safety and notifies pool manager if needed
- Inspects pool facilities, equipment, and water to ensure that they are safe and usable.
- Supervises and assists in cleaning the pool & related facilities’ equipment, assists with chlorine residual water testing using records & charts of the water tests, records of accidents, and adds chemicals to pool water as directed.
- Instructs and assists classes in fundamentals of swimming as needed. (Swim Team)
Other Responsibilities/Goals:
- Maintains a healthy environment for fellow guards and is respectful of their own time along with other’s time.
- Embodies what the culture is here at the Club & shows understanding of what We represent.
- Allows their Summer to be filled with purpose and other components that reflect this opportunity.
Pay based upon experience and must be at least 16 years of age.
CPR/AED certification.
Seasonal and must have flexible hours.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary.
License/Certification:
- Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (Preferred)
